S-Tec Turbo Convolutional Codes Performance

The typical performance with the optional S-Tec FEC is shown in the tables below. The Eb/No

values shown are those referenced to the customer data rate at the decoder output. Performance

would appear improved if measured relative to the decoder input (i.e. at the satellite data rate). All

values shown are using the synchronous TPC scrambler/descrambler and version 0.63 or greater

modem firmware.
